What to Expect

Whether this is your first massage or you're returning after some time, it is completely normal to have questions. This page is here to guide you through what happens before, during, and after a session, so you can arrive feeling informed and relaxed.

Before Your Appointment

Once you book your first session, you will complete a client intake form and a consent form. These help me understand your health history, goals, and any areas that need special attention. Filling them out ahead of time allows us to make the most of your session.

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early so we can begin on time. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid eating a heavy meal before your appointment.

Starting the Session

We will begin with a short intake conversation. This usually takes a few minutes and gives us time to talk about your goals for the session, any health conditions, medications, or areas of concern. We will also talk about pressure preferences and comfort levels.

This is also the time to ask questions or share anything that will help you feel more at ease. Your comfort is always my priority.

During the Massage

You will have privacy to get on the table and undress to your comfort level. Full professional draping is used. Once the session begins, I will check in briefly about temperature, pressure, and comfort. After that, the room will remain quiet so you can relax fully.

Each session is customized using a variety of massage techniques based on your intake and how your body responds. No two massages are exactly alike.

Some people experience physical or emotional release during the session. This is normal and welcomed. You do not need to talk unless you want to. This is your time.

After the Session

Once the massage is complete, you will have time to get dressed and rehydrate. We will talk briefly about what we observed and go over any take-home recommendations such as stretching, hydration, or follow-up care.

If you use a wellness app or journaling method, you may also choose to log your feedback and set your goals for your next session.

A Note About Communication

You are encouraged to speak up at any time during your treatment. If something feels uncomfortable, if you want a change in pressure, or if you just need a moment to pause, please let me know. This is a shared experience and your feedback helps me support you better.

Taking time for yourself is a powerful act of care. Thank you for trusting me with your healing. I look forward to working with you.
