Congratulations to the UNLV Rebels on Another Fremont Cannon Victory!
Congratulations to the UNLV Rebel football team on winning the 51st Battle for the Fremont Cannon on November 29 at Mackay Stadium in Reno. This rivalry game always carries weight, and once again, the Rebels showed up with focus, discipline, and heart.
This win marked UNLV’s fourth consecutive victory over the Wolf Pack and capped off a historic season. Maybe we will beat Nevada's longest win streak (8 consecutive years) in the rivalry!
Achieving the win in back-to-back seasons is no small feat. They should be proud of themselves. I certainly am. Having had the opportunity to work alongside their trainers in the locker room for the 2025 football season, I know how much hard work and dedication it took to end the season strong.
I've worked as an Emotional Resilience coach and mentor, prioritizing core values at the hear of my work. What stands out most to me is how clearly the Rebel Football team’s core values—Integrity, Accountability, Innovation, Service, Excellence, and Empathy—show up on and off the field. As this game also marked the end of my internship with UNLV Athletics for the season, I feel especially grateful to have witnessed this level of leadership, resilience, and teamwork up close.
Well done, Rebels. The Cannon stays home (again!).
