Reflecting on my journey through the massage program at the European Massage Therapy School, I know that I wouldn’t have made it without my tribe. The support from my family, friends, classmates, and instructors has been invaluable.

Recently, I have had the privilege of learning from Chris Melmoth, who specializes in soft tissue manipulation at the deep fascial layer. This has added another valuable dimension to my education at the European Massage Therapy School.

I’ve really enjoyed my classes in the massage program. They teach massage in a way that is clear, practical, and prepares you for the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEX). John's curriculum makes sure we understand not just the “how” of massage therapy, but also the “why,” helping us see the bigger picture of what it means to be a healing professional.

It's truly been a transformational experience to learn from Chris. Chris has personally helped me overcome stubborn pain and restrictions, as well as several of my friends. He is a Master at his craft, and has the wisdom and experience and professionalism to help heal others through touch.

It's truly been a fun experience to learn massage theraphy from my instructors like Laura how powerful touch can be, not just for physical ailments like pain and soreness, but for addressing deeper emotional aspects like anxiety, trauma, and even grief.

This case demonstrates that deep MFR taught by my instructor, Chris Melmoth, is a profoundly effective alternative (or complement) to traditional deep tissue massage techniques. While deep tissue targets muscle hypertonicity, Chris's style of deep MFR addresses the connective tissue system that can hold and restrict a body’s structure and movement.

It's truly been a fun experience to learn from my instructors like Daniella how powerful touch can be, not just for physical ailments like pain and soreness, but for addressing deeper emotional aspects like anxiety, trauma, and even grief.

Christina Aldan, international speaker and mental health advocate, has launched an updated version of her website, www.luckygirlbodywork.com, to document her current training in massage therapy. The site reflects her transition into bodywork, combining her background in emotional resilience, Mental Health First Aid, and public speaking with a focused study of therapeutic massage techniques.

My friends in the 91Morning class at the European School of Massage Therapy graduated this month and I was lucky enough to get to celebrate with them.

I’m back in school and as we near the end of Anatomy II, I am pretty proud of myself.
